If telling the truth ends up causing you pain
then how do you ever tell the truth again?
If allowing yourself to open up gets you hurt
Then honestly, what is honesty worth?
If saying what they wanna hear makes them happy
then why should I bother doing anything else?
If life has proven that good guys finish last
then why not just look out for my goddamn self?
Hopefully, something will change my mind
’cause I want to do the right thing at all times
But if this is how life is suppose to be
Then I’ll stop stressin’ and focus on me
