DE'WAYNE SIMPSON... FULL-TIME ACCESS

underACHIEVER

By: De’Wayne Simpson

each one teach one
look at all that we've done
black history
wasn't necessarily
meant for me
to believe
i achieved
all of these
things

i remember a time
when i was headed for mine
i was inspited
by the man of the hour
but i would never think
that jus 'cause he did it
that mean that i should i be credited
for doin the same thing
my bell don't quite ring
everytime another man's hand
pulls on the rope
nope

after all
everything i do
i want it known it was me
not you
black brown or jew
i am only one member
no matter the group
and i don't share credit wit no one

so stop takin credit
just because u share a similarity wit the successful
just give em their due
and tell em next is you
